I love gorry, bloody and gruesome movies and thrillers, such as SAW 1,2,3 ; Mindhunter; When a stranger calls etc. Jazz musics are pleasing to my ears. Buildiing a strong and biblical guys group to win the world is my vision!

East training camp!

The day started with everyone meeting 8am at Changi Ferry Terminal. Punctuality was one of the highlighted rule. Thank god for those who are early! haha. =) While waiting for Dennis to come, the gals did the typical 'galz-stuffs'....

Dennis finally arrived and we carry on with the 1st activity: carrying sand+stone burden!
on the way to palau ubin- 3 hunks on the boat! HEEHEE! =p
Arriving at Palau Ubin, dennis brief everyone on the whole day activity. According to dennis, it will be tough man. And....it was!
There were a total of 5 teams, each containing 5 people. There were also 5 stations 'governed' by 5 different ULs- joy, me, bing, yanyu and dennis. Everyone are supposed to travel from one station to the other station on foot, with each group having the heavy load of sand+stone, and each person pushing a bicycle. Yes. No one is to sit on the bicycle. haha! So, from 1030am to 345pm, it was all about walking from stations to stations to win the challenges! 4 hours+ of walking! haha!
While the people are walking, i was sitting at the hut, waiting for people to come. Wait a min. You think it was easy?! MAN!!!! try reading a book with mosquitoes keep kissing you!!! ARRGHH!!!!
My station is to test people's memory wahaha! But it was not that tough overall!.

I was having my lunch with the guys who happen to be at my station, when suddenly, this bunch of crazy gals came and 'entertain' us! see for yourself...
no idea what they are doing? haha. they are trying to complete dennis' station! He gave them several dares to complete. And one of them is to catch a LIVE spider! it's HUGE and colourful!!!!! i really admire their spirit and their courage man! esp ah-be!!1 haha. When they came over, we thought of telling them about the big spider to scare them. But we didnt realised catching a spider was their dare! And after showing them the freaking BIG spider, we were all expecting them to scream and run off, to find a smaller spider to catch. but guess wat?! They were SO excited about it and literally went all the way to catch that giant spider despite the size and poisonous look of it! For ur info, they really caught it in the end!!! I salute you galz! =)
After completing all the station games, we all gathered back at Mamam for the Ultimate Challenge! Dennis have hidden all the 'money' he collected in the beginning under the sand. Our mission: to find the money-all there will be NO dinner!!! WAH! everyone was so shocked haha. But finally realised that it was just post card after an 1 hour search! haha. Anyway, before the Challenge begin....

Of course, there were some who were very hardworking! aiya, i dun wanna say who la. i'll shy! =)
After one whole day of walking and searching, it's my fav time! .... FOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahahaha!!!! (but... i'm fasting from meat! sob. cant enjoy some of the good food! =( ...nvm, i mus rejoice!!! )
Finally, we are back to spore!!! During debriefing, dennis taught us certain essential principles like really seeing the value in doing what we are doing now! Truth is that sometimes, what we do or believe dun seems very logical to the people outside. Like pushing a bicycle w/o riding it; finding for our money in sand for an hour. We do all these becos we saw the value of doing so!

Though it was really tiring, it was very fruitful and purposeful! Instead of just having teachings, what we passed down and let them experienced was not just knowledge, but spirit! Believe it must have impacted and speak to many out there!

24 Nov. My birthday! haha. That's the point.
On this very day, we had our... very own... .... East CL retreat! We started out with a small but definitely not as easy mission. Look at the pics and guess...
trying to act cute? nope! that's not the mission of cos. Even if it is, i would have won easily, w/o acting! heehee. =P
hmm...or... is it trying to act like a complete retard?! OF COS not!!! haha. cos dennis chua would have won it long time ago! (joking haha!)

We were split to 3-4 per team, with only one person able to see. This person is supposed to direct and guide us out of NYP, and all the way till city hall, including crossing roads and taking public transport! Wah!!! Not easy man! haha. However, arriving at the MRT station, we were told to unfold our blindfold cos we cant wear it in. It may caused disturbance to other passengers around. haha

O YES!!! Forgot to say beforehand. We were all staying in a room at Swiss Hotel!!! WAHAHA! Damn nice! Didnt got the chance to take the whole room. At least, there's the pics below!

Having return back to hotel for some wash-up, we had a time to just come together and learn about something REALLY important--- LOVE!
Well, though it's something we often talk about, but it is really the central point and reason why we are doing what we are doing now! One thing that really struck me is that true love drives us to do the right thing!!! It is the motivation and reason we do everything! Esp as a CL, or any leader who is leading people have got to learn this important lesson. or else, we will just ended up doing what we are asked to do, or love w/o a reason! L.O.V.E!!! YEA!

After the teaching, we played- Blind Wacko!!! woah! was really really fun! Seeing people being blind-folded and trying to run around wacking people! HAHA! they have a lot of special stuns one lor!!! like people hiding under the table (joyce heehee); under the tv desk; on the bed etc! haha.
but after a numbers of round, something really dumb happens!
YES!!! Someone tripped over the wires, and the lamp broke into pieces. We were so afraid that they wants us to pay a lot . So we decided to pray! haha. CL have to be holy wat rite? HAHAHA!
all of us were trembling with fear haha.
In the end, thank god we only got to pay 100 bucks for it! PHEW! (as compared to the original price given, it's a huge diff! =X)
anyway, one of our all times hobbies- pushing people into the balcony and lock them up! haha! and guess whose the all times target?..... *drum-roll*.....
....... AH-BE!!!! yeah! hahaha!
So our nite ended off with us playing cards, watching people doing forfeit, watching me doing gatsby commercial, and talking cock till next morning. Of cos some of us slept. but i really enjoyed myself very much having fun with people who are not just fun, but people who have also really given their lives to God and His flock!
Some people say Cls have a lot of retreats etc. And i dun think there's any wrong with it! haha! Cos i truly believe that we need to serve hard, and play hard! So, just wanna say to all Cls-
Thank god for your lives! Whatever you are doing now is impacting your people and God's kingdom in ways you never imagine! So continue be driven by LOVE, and to work hard, and of, cos, PLAY HARD! haha! Jia you!
