Ephraim, Yi Qin, Qin-Qin, Ben-ben. That's ME! God have given me an interesting personality. I'm a sanguine, in another word, an extrovert. I love to be around people. Some people accused that i'm lame. Well, i do find myself guilty, sometimes. Of course, at times, you will find me in very deep thoughts. I'm created to be thinker too.
Sometimes i think too much and can be rather emotions-driven. Curious about my love life? Well, the love of my life is God! I love gorry, bloody and gruesome movies and thrillers, such as SAW 1,2,3 ; Mindhunter; When a stranger calls etc. Jazz musics are pleasing to my ears. Buildiing a strong and biblical guys group to win the world is my vision!

christain = salmon???

Today had a fun afternoon with bing liang, dennis chua, brendon and ding kiat at Jurong Swimming Complex! hehehe!
we were quite disappointed that the slides were under renovation, as it was one of the main attraction!!! SOB!!! =X
but nvm! we still had fun in the wave pool and the lazy pool! =)
Wave pool is basically a pool with artificial wave and a VERY irritating spray on top, which sprays water irritatingly! We tried to see who can balance himself on the float. Guess who win? -ME! hehe... 6 sec. But brendon cheated with 7 sec, but second chance! Bleahx =P
There was also the lazy pool!
haha. There are very strong currents that pushes whatever is in its way ahead. So, you just have to rent a float, sit on it, and just be carried away by the current! WHEEE.....
Out of all this fun, God spoke to me too! ( i dun know why, but god many times spoke to me using water! haha.) I was sitting on the float, thinking through our NB and asking God why after so long, only one retained? Of cos i'm grateful for that one NB who retained. but... it's just not enough!!!!! Then i saw Dennis they all were trying to walk against the current. Being curious, i tried too. but as i do so, God reminded me of:
1. Christians are called to walk against the norms/currents!
God have called us to be in this world to make a change. Not to rebel, but to stand up for justice, and the wrong values that the world is ejecting every single day. We cannot just float along and be carried away by the strong current, which everyone is doing! Like idolatry, fashion, wealth.
Likewise, the NB may not be responding, AS YET. Most people will just say "C'mon la, just give up! You try so long also no results!" But... ... NO!!! I will not! Neither will God! I got to just keep walking against the current of faithlessness, continuously!
2. Christians are to live lives at the edge for Jesus!
As i was walking against the current, i realised that walking in the middle is MUCH easier than walking at the very edge. Cos the currents are ejecting at the edge. Most importantly, it is much more challenging and exciting to walk at the edge! So i was reminded that we ought to live lives at the edge; serve Him at the edge! Always giving our all!
To grow the group and to retain all my NB i got to give my all! ALL!!!
3. Christians must not be stagnant!
There were times when i walk till my legs are tired. I tried to stop, but soon found myself being swept away by the strong current, thus going many steps away. In the same way, Christians cant afford to be stagnant! Stagnant is NOT growth! it's going away from God.
I must not just TALK about retainment and growth, but DO something!
Christians are like salmon fish!
"Salmon can make amazing journeys, sometimes moving hundreds of miles upstream against strong currents and rapids..."
Today, do you want to just live life as normal, flowing with what the world is carrying us, to a road of destruction? Or a life that is against the norm, but excitement and fruitfulness is guaranteed?
Being a Salmon is not easy.
